LA FERME is a family-owned restaurant featuring fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced products. All of our dishes are prepared in-house and feature the finest foods the Alexandria area has to offer. Our chefs work hard at providing exceptional dishes by butchering, curing, smoking, and pickling local products themselves, as well as, constantly creating new menu flavors with the seasonal produce provided by the local farmers. Meet Executive Chef /Owner, Matthew A. Jensen
Chef Matthew Jensen was born in Alexandria, MN and is excited to be back in his birth town, to offer great food to Alexandria area residents and visitors. Matthew earned his culinary degree from California, and has worked for, and beside, some of the best chefs in the Twin Cities.
His expertise is in; wine paired multi-course menus, french cookery, culturally inspired cuisine, creative flavor combinations, and local foraging.
